Alex Vazquez, www.fatbmx.com, november 2007: At the beggining it wasn't so serious, cause I was so young and it was like a child game for me, friends were requesting the products, then I realized the opportunity and the potential of making a real company of it. And right now, get well known BMX brands over here is expensive. Besides I have the chance to help Mexico to get BMX quality products at low cost.
1986 Alex Vazquez, www.fatbmx.com, november 2007: 1986 was the year I started riding BMX, I was 15 years old, and it was so dificult to see and get BMX quality parts over here, let alone paying the price. My father had a small tool work shop, and in the same year I started making gyros, pegs and stems, just for my own use, then my friends were asking for them, it was so funny, cause every part was made by hand and actually was like a child game.
1990 Alex Vazquez, www.fatbmx.com, november 2007: I started making products in 1986, but the MTNT BIKES name came in 1990, which is a contraction of my nick name, "MUTANTE".
2005 Alex Vazquez, www.fatbmx.com, november 2007: We have been full throtle with a proper team, web site and a bigger production since two years ago, time we turned production to Taiwan.
2007 Who is involved?
-Alex Vazquez (Myself); designing, dealing with Taiwan, getting sponsors, running the Team and the company in general.
-Jorge "Negro" Olveda; is very handy, he can do tons of stuff. Honestly I can say he is a very important part of this company.
-Luis Medina; packing and stickering products. Besides that his sense of humor keep us on the right track.
-All the team is involved on the design in general, giving ideas, testing and using prototype products.

Parts made in Taiwan. In the past we started making the products ourselves, here in Mexico, but it was so hard to get good quality materials, so we turned the production to Taiwan. Which is good quality at a very good price. Frames, Forks, Handlebars, Stems, Cranks, Hubs, Sprockets, Seats, Grips, BB's and H/S. And some soft goods, like T shirts, sweatshirts, hats and safety gear.
