Brian Tunney, www.expn.com, may 2010: Precision Products is a small flatland company based out of Northern California. Run by Massachusetts transplant Marcel Tremblay, Precision manufactures US-made components that may have been overlooked by other flatland companies, including a 3-in-1 stem, pegs, bars and more to come in the future.
What made you want to start your own brand?
Marcel Tremblay, www.expn.com, may 2010: I started my own brand for a couple of reasons. Firstly, I couldn't find the sizes or the parts made out of the kinds of materials that were no longer available. Then I thought "I'll just make parts custom for myself, like I have for years, when I can offer the "gap not offered" that has been missing in BMX parts at this time." The other reason is to give well-deserving riders parts that they can't afford, or the opportunity to have sponsorships because they ride for themselves and they are underground.

2010 KNURLED PEG

GRIP TAPE PEG

Marcel Tremblay, www.expn.com, may 2010: The grip tape peg is offered in many colors using a special plastic compound that I came across while researching different forms of metal for bar caps.

BAR CAPS
Marcel Tremblay, www.expn.com, may 2010: Steel bar caps. Also we offer a plastic bar cap, using this same special extremely dense compound, that is Teflon embedded so it slides on surfaces, instead of shredding apart.

GRIPS STOPS

Marcel Tremblay, www.expn.com, may 2010: Grip stops, also using this same plastic material because the material itself works great for these parts and I've never personally seen a plastic grip stop myself.

BARFLY
Marcel Tremblay, www.expn.com, may 2010: This bar I designed as a general kneesaver design, (basically lots of room all around and made to hold up to modern day riding). My reasoning for making them in an 8.5" and 9" height was to diminish the use of excessive spacers under rider's stems. As for the name itself, Charles Bukowski has had a large effect on my life with his poetry, mostly in the sense of climbing out of bad situations and going to the fullest extent of what you do in life. This goes for riding for me as well. The name "Barfly" was a movie roughly based on Bukowski's life, so it's a tribute to the impact he has had on my life.

PRECISION TO PEACE BAR
Marcel Tremblay, www.expn.com, may 2010: Our other handlebar is a flatland specific or all around two-piece bar called the "Precision To Peace Bar." I'm trying to promote peace throughout the BMX industry.

We also make a stem called the "Precision 3-IN-1 Stem" offering riders three stems for basically the price of one in 26mm, 35mm, and a 38mm reach all in one stem.

We also have a frame that has not been released yet called the "Precision Super Tight" (tons of room, hence the name.)
